Don’t Wait Until You Feel Like it

As midlife women, we often find ourselves juggling a lot of different responsibilities. We may be working full-time, raising children, caring for elderly parents, and volunteering in our communities. It can be tough to find time for ourselves, let alone the energy to pursue our dreams.

But here's the thing: you don't have to wait until you feel like it to start living your best life. In fact, Tony Robbins, one of the world's most renowned motivational speakers, teaches that "emotion follows action." This means that if you want to feel happy and fulfilled, you need to take action, even if you don't feel like it at the time.

Brené Brown, another highly respected thought leader, emphasizes the importance of vulnerability and courage. She teaches that when we embrace our vulnerability and step outside of our comfort zone, we open ourselves up to the possibility of great joy and transformation.

So, if you're a midlife woman who's ready to start living your best life, but you're not sure where to begin, here are a few tips:

  1. Identify your dreams and goals. What do you want to achieve in your life? Once you know what you want, you can start creating a plan to make it happen.

  2. Take small steps. Don't try to do too much too soon. Start by taking small steps towards your goals. Each small step will bring you closer to your destination.

  3. Celebrate your successes. As you achieve your goals, take the time to celebrate your successes. This will help you stay motivated and keep moving forward.

  4. Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you need help achieving your goals, don't be afraid to ask for it. There are many people who are willing to support you on your journey.

Here are a few specific examples of how you can apply these tips to your own life:

  • If you've always dreamed of starting your own business, but you're afraid to take the leap, start by creating a business plan. Once you have a plan in place, you can start taking small steps towards your goal, such as creating a website or networking with potential customers.

  • If you've been wanting to get in shape, but you don't feel like going to the gym, start by taking a short walk around the block. Once you've started moving, you'll be more likely to keep going.

  • If you've been wanting to travel the world, but you don't have the money to go on a big vacation, start by saving a small amount of money each month. Once you have a bit of money saved up, you can start planning a trip to a nearby city or country.

No matter what your dreams and goals are, remember that you don't have to wait until you feel like it to start living your best life. Take small steps, celebrate your successes, and don't be afraid to ask for help. You are capable of great things!

Here are some additional thoughts from Tony Robbins and Brené Brown:

  • Tony Robbins: "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten."

  • Brené Brown: "Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, connection, and joy. It is the birthplace of creativity and innovation. It is the birthplace of daring to try and fail."

What does this mean for you? It means that if you want to create a different life for yourself, you need to start taking different actions. You need to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone and be vulnerable.

Remember, you don't have to wait until you feel like it to start living your best life. Take action today, even if it's just a small step. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve.
